... What the hell happened??? Milan were defeated by spurs??? Something has gone seriously wrong in the world, I mean first the upheaval in North Africa and now this... Having not seen the match I can't say alot, but I have read all the reviews, and what I can tell from that is that Milan were out paced, not out played. Spurs just have speed but no skill, and that can only get you so far.
It was a fairly physical match with a number of players getting kicked about, but they play in the Premiership, so they should be used to all that. Well the Rossoneri's game got of to the worst of starts when Abbiati clashed with the giant freak that is Crouch, it's reported that he will only be out for 5 days, his replacement, Marco Amelia did well, other than let in the goal, but it wasn't his fault as Milan were caught out on the quick counter attack and then that enormous freak just knocked it in, no class at all!
Ibrahimovich did score a last gasp equaliser, that was then scrubbed off because the ref saw a push, what's up with that?!!! Milan had a completely re- shuffled team and because most of the player were ineligible, they were without Antonio Cassano, who works better with Ibrahimovic than Pato, the were also without Andrea Pirlo, Massimo Ambrosini and Kevin Prince- Boetang.
It's not over yet as Milan have already won this competition 7 times, and experience will play a huge part in the second leg, and Milan will be cheesed off to say the least- as Gattuso has already made abundantly clear!
