Botolive.com - AC Milan v Juventus - (1-2)

Juventus won.....

... But I still see the same defensive frailties also the injury list is growing again with De Ceglie and Martinez out for months! Juve still have to work on their marking, too often you see them give players way too much time and space to get the shot in, whereas they should be closed down much sooner.

Not only do they have defensive issue but also issue going forward.. thank God for Quagliarella- he injected some much needed pace into there attack. We have to face it, we might all love Alex Del Piero but he does have a tendency to slow the game- we were kind of lucky that we were facing a team that also suffers from tired legs but in the midfield, Andrea Pirlo and Gennaro Gattuso don't have the same energy as they once did and once the game has been played for more than 30 minutes they start to become liabilities.

All I want from my team is hard work and dedication and the rest will just fall into place, what I don't want to see is dirty tackles, faining injuries, time wasting and pulling out the imaginary card, because we're bigger than that and let's face it, if they go down that road they're no better than Inter!!
But the most positive thing is we got all 3 points and we did it without Krasic, proving that Juve is about more than just one player.

Turin 2010...

... Finally after years of dreaming about it I got to go to Turin. It had been three years since I went to Italy and what can I say.... I simply fell in love all over again. Torino may not be a typical tourist destination but that was part of the appeal, actually being immersed with the local people and the culture.. yet I will always be wary about their driving and their lack of respect towards pedestrian crossing, but other then that I loved it!

The Art and beauty was everywhere and it was just confined to museums, it was everywhere, Autumn in Turin was magnificent, and the people were so accommodating, my understanding of Italian is basic at best but they tried to communicate the best they can and they were so willing to help, and coming from a country of rude and arrogant sods, it was a pleasant surprised and I can't wait to return to Italy.
Seeing as this was my first trip with my friend, we weren't that organised so we didn't get around to seeing everything we wanted but we did get enough done and I did find the Juventus store!!! This whole experience taught me about being more prepare and decisive about what I want so to make the most of the three days that I was there, cos let's face it, it does go very quick!! But seeing the majestic Alps and the river Po were simply stunning, which make returning back to the UK all that more depressing.

Does anyone care anymore?...

.... For weeks now we've been bombarded with the images of the trapped miners in Chile and now we have to endure weeks of interviews of how they're doing and I ask you... does anyone really care? I'm not trying to sound heartless, and yes I did feel for them when they were trapped and I can never understand how horrifying it was.. but don't you believe the coverage of it from all the media was a tad excessive?!
Every news station had it on, it's like there was nothing else going on in the world? What about the strikes in France, the starving children in Africa the soliders dying in Afghanistan and oh yeah, the little thing now what was it.... the floods in Pakistan oh and let's not forget CLIMATE CHANGE???? Did that all just stop or do we just pick and choose what's important enough to care for??!!

Holly propaganda...Family values?

.... Is it just me or does anyone else notice the blatant swing in hollywood especially towards family values and how every needs to have babies???!! You can see the recent trends in rom- coms, where the female has the perfect job and the perfect life but oh no she's empty inside because she hasn't got a man and a baby, it makes me want to be sick.

Not that I make a habit of watching rom-coms but sometimes you just end up watching one because they're sooo many out there. And they're all about how the women hates the guy in the beginning but then by the end realizes she loves him- pass the sick bucket please!

They're all about how your life before means nothing and it's only when you have kids that your life really starts- please give me a break, have you seen kids today??!! And have you ever notice how characters in movies who go against this are always getting punished, either they turn into bums and lose everything or they die. I mean even in action movies they try to indoctrinate us with the message of family values. I was just watching 2012 ( which was a huge mistake) even they were pushing you toward good clean "family value", the new husband gets killed so the father of the children can come back and the trophy wife also dies because she's cheating on her Russian boyfriend??

What is wrong with Hollywood?? And what is this thing called "family values"- God if I know!!!

Finally a happy birthday...

After what seems to feel like a lifetime of planning and negotiating dates, finally I get to go to Turin, the home of my beloved Juventus. In actual fact I had wanted to go for the last five years or so but no one trusted me to go on my own at 21, they thought i'd get lost- I probably would've. But then I tried convincing my older sis to come with me but she was having none of it, to her Turin is more of an industrial town. I however see so much more, I see beauty, history and passion- and let's not forget it's the home of JUVENTUS, whose spirit is embedded in it- also a huge pulling factor as to why I wanted to go!

As my profile stipulates, I adore different kinds of architecture, and well Italy has some amazing brick buildings- and not buildings that were built last week, these are centuries old building with history and art everywhere.

I know not all of Italy is like this but the whole point of travelling anywhere is to experience the whole culture and you start to appreciate your lifestyle. Leaving the best to last, the mountains, Turin is surrounded by the Majestic Alps. Utterly breathtaking, although I am prepare for a lot of fog and mist, considering I'm going at the end of October, but I'll still love it and the food.

I'm sooooooooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moby - Extreme Ways (The Bourne Trilogy)

Terminator - How It Should End

Bourne without Bourne..

Now this is the most ridiculous idea.. having a Bourne film without Jason Bourne. I can't understand why Paul Greengrass is allowing them to basically ruin his franchise?! The story came to a satisfying conclusion, now why would you want to continue it to the point of destruction.... it's all to do with how much money they can squeeze out of the franchise and it makes me sick.

Loyal followers of the Bourne series stay away from this, it's nothing but a cheap knock off. I expect this from the Horror franchise ( scream4??) but not for this.

Existance?

It's a funny thing, you think what you're doing in life is important, when in fact it isn't. The universe would not stop if you got fired, in the scheme of things what we do with our lives is rather pointless. Yet we attach so much value on our careers or jobs and people turn their nose's up when a person doesn't work, but you know what I like to say to those snobs " go screw yourselves" because life is too short to do stuff that you don't enjoy, one day we're all going to die and what's the point being the richest corpse in the graveyard?? What really matters is what we do with the time that is given to us, no matter how short it is.

Kaka returning to Serie A...

.... But to Inter??? After spend six glorious years at AC Milan why for the love of everything holy would he go to their most fiercest rivals, it makes no sense. Kaka' is a person of considerably intelligence, integrity and wealth so he wouldn't cheapen himself by going to the " dark side" of Milan. But the fact that Real Madrid are thinking of shipping him off after spending so much money and effort on him is bemusing, but it isn't the first time that Jose' has taken a great from Milan, ruined him and sent him away.... does anyone remember Andiry Shevchenko? He hardly played him at Stamford Bridge and ruined his reputation that was until Sheva wised up and went back to his first team that is Dynamo Kiev.

But surely a player of Kaka's calibre can recapture his best form and be the best. Kaka' is not only a great player, he's a great man. He is a fantastic professional who brings calm and creativity to the team he's in. He is a rare player both fair and unselfish in the way he plays, always working hard for his teammates and the club. I know Madrid have now got the likes of Mesut Ozil, Sami Khedira, Di Maria and C. Ronaldo but they don't have Kaka's class.

Real Madrid would be foolish to get rid of him, but if they do ; "Kaka' go back to AC Milan!"

And Milan should do what they can to get him back, because God knows they need him.

Player protection...

I have to say I have no idea why there isn't more of this. Maybe if there was more the Premiership would not be the suffering from so many broken limbs?!

It doesn't make sense, why pay upwards of £10m on a player and then let him get the snot beaten out of him?! It's like buying a Bugatti Veyron and entering it into monster trucks, it's absurd!!

I'm referring to the new controversy stirred up by Nigel De Jong's exploits, it seems that karate kicking a talented Spanish player in the heart wasn't enough now he's broken some poor lad's leg in two places. Something has to be done, these are people not just mere objects to be bought and sold by the managers but they also deserve to be protected in some way, the Premiership is such a reckless league, it's full of talentless yobs and anyone who does have talent get chopped down, that's probably why Arsenal are failing to thrive in that league when the talent they've got clearly dictates they should be leading it.
The EPL is brutish and they lack finesse, and this is one of the many reasons they do so poorly on the main stage i.e The World Cup!!!

Imagine knowing that your career is over before 25?? How would that make you feel?

How Inception Should Have Ended

diego vs kaka- how I miss both of them, come back to Serie A!!

Derby D'Italia...

.... How much can one really say about the game that has been named the derby of Italy. Well just to be frank it is still early in the season to make any judgements but people still continue to make more of it and you know what I feel like saying... it's only week 6 folks, CALM DOWN. But that's not in their nature, I can understand why people are getting excited- we were able to hold off the Champions of Italy and Europe, and yes that is impressive but Juve still have a lot to work on for instance they need a more energetic attacking force and their defending from set pieces still leaves a lot to be desired. If they continues working hard and maintaining some form of consistency I believe they can make it in the top four, but I have to be reminded they are not the Juventus of old, they are still capable of a dramatic downward spiral- just recall last season!

So all in all, don't think that this is a sign of things turning around, it's an indication that things are getting better but only time will tell if we can breathe easy during a Juve match.

True Greatness....

It can be found within a few people but two people in particular are greatness personified: Pavel Nedved and Gianluigi Buffon.

They are great because it is through their absence that Juve are not doing particularly well.. and that's just putting it politely!! Ever since Nedved retired in 09, Juve have been trying to look for a replacement and have not found an individual with his creative energy and hard work and well.. the evidence is all there-the season he wasn't there they finished seventh and out of Champions League contention. He was and always be in the hearts of true Juventus fans, even if Krasic can somehow fill the void left by Nedved he'll never be able to replace what Nedved represents, which is hard work, dedication and the creative heart of The Old Lady.

Gianluigi Buffon is only out due to his operation on his back, but his loss is being felt and I'm sure everyone is wishing he would come back sooner rather than later! He has a sense about him that demands respect and he gets that from everyone. Buffon is a true leader,: Commanding and Calming, he is the kind of player that give everyone else confidence to concentrate on what they're doing. Not only that but he is loved by everyone, refs, teammates and opposing players. Everyone knows that with him you'll get a great and fair game. It is that trustfulness that is a wonderful attribute to have, not only in football but in life.

Greatness is measure by the impact your absence has made, the fact that your absence has thrown everything in disarray and the small fact that Juve are conceding too many "easy" goals means WE WANT YOU BACK and preferably SOON!!

Juventus vs Cagliari 4-2 - HQ All Goals & Full Match Highlights - 26/09/...

The Old Lady..

After the game with Man City, I got to admit I was relieved as through out the game I was on edge, as the defending was still much to be desired. Any time the ball would go near our goal I was left with my heart in my mouth, I just had this sick feeling that someone was going to make a mistake and lo and behold they let in a goal by some British player named Adam Johnson. And now of course every Englishman thinks he's the second coming or something!!
Juve's defence is worrying, how they just give people too much room and space on the ball and how everyone is so often out of position. But the most troubling thing has to be how the Juve players cluster- this than leaves gaps and opportunity for the opposition to get a shot on goal. This is obviously due to a lack of familiarity with the players which will only come with time.
Here's hoping the Old Lady can improve on this by Sunday where they'll face Inter in the Derby D'Italia. And also I have to take back my negative remarks about Alex Del Piero, he was outstanding but can he sustain that momentum? After all it is a very long season.

The weight of expectations...

I am all for given new players a chance and given them credit when they do well, but all this talk about how Milos Krasic is like Nedved is absurd and a slight insult to Nedved who spent eight successful years at Juve and won the hearts and minds of Bianconeri fans all over.
Krasic is proving to be very hardworking and has amazing pace and an eye for goal as he proved against Cagliari, netting his first hat-trick, but it has only been five league games so far and I believe it is unfair to label him this early.
He might want to carve his own name in the Juve history books and all this talk that he's like Nedved in large part due to his blonde hair, it can limit his progress. And it can also make him fall below these standards because of these expectations, have we all forgotten what happened to Diego??? He was brought in to try and replaaace the hole left by Nedved and wasn't able to make an impact- to be fair he wasn't really given a chance.
So people, I hope you reserve judgement on Krasic whether it be praise or criticism and let him flourish into a great player that we all hope he can be- in his own time.
Forza Juventus
Forza Krasic
FORZA NEDVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
