A great team.??.

.. What makes a team great? It's simple actually, it's having a group of hardworking individuals who are willing to work for each other and not just for the glory that they may receive. How clubs have now realised ( I hope anyway) that just because they have great individuals doesn't mean they are a great team. Take Rooney for example, he had simply zero affect on the England side because once the opposition realise you're the hot shot player they will just smother you. And in my opinion, he's not that great anyway. His style of football is very yobbish and the only reason that Man U did well was because the team was full of foreigners. Another great player who had his World Cup dream cut short was Lionel Messi. But whereas England failed to impress across the board, Argentina had an amazing attack, they were let down by their lack of defensive know how. Maradona had gone through the tournament on the premise that the best form of defence is attack, this may have worked on the "smaller" teams but it was obvious by the result against Germany.... it was a flawed idea. And they were undone by the organisation, discipline and sheer pace and skill or the Germans. Messi will get another chance but unless English football gets out of this brutish mentality, i'm afraid they wont last much longer. I mean in all seriousness does it make sense to let someone who is valued over £10m to get kicked about like they do in the Premiership, The so called best league in the world. Just because they spend the most doesn't mean their football is any good, just look at the England national team.
