Milan V Juventus- A scandalised draw

Not exactly how I had hoped this game will go, the disallowed Milan goal will be the talk of the town and if Juve have the nerve to complain about the referee.... I wont be able to look at them in the same way. This game was already a very heated fixture in Serie A and didn't need any help in that department. This game was just an advertisement for some sort of technology to be brought into the game, as I refuse to believe Juventus have returned to the " dark side!, I believe they had nothing to do with it and even had a goal of their own disallowed in the second half by Alessandro Matri a former Milan youth product. Had Muntari's goal been seen by the referee, it would have changed the game significantly and we would have truly seen what Juve are made off. No matter what Antonio Conte believes, I believe that the 2nd Milan goal could have done some good for Juve, before you laugh hear me out, it would put a fire under Juve and tested their abilities.

Juve may have had over 50% of the possession but they weren't able to do anything damaging with it. They had 15 shots but only 3 were on goal and none were really good enough to trouble Abbiati. some of the strikes by the Juve forward were way off target, it was as if they had forgotten where the goal was and Marco Borriello was the wrong man to have in this type of game as he hardly made an impact, I'm all for giving players a chance...but at the right time, and this wasn't the time to mess around with a good set of players. I suggest the Juve frontmen do a bit more target practice as they were so close on so many occasions but not close enough to actually test the keeper.

Milan may have had just 48% possession but they knew what to do with it as on the 14th minute a former Juve man, Antonio Nocherino scored the opener. He was gifted the ball by a lazy pass from Leonardo Bonnuci and than he further helped it by getting a deflection on it. Milan applied the pressure for large portions of the game with Juve showing up in fits and bursts. In all honesty, Juventus were looking rather panicked and some wayward passes and some rash challenges were starting to creep in. Alessandro Matri can on in the second half and eventually scores the equalizer on the 83rd minute and helped rescue a point for The Old Lady.
But one does start to wonder if all these draws that Juve have conceded will damage there title hopes, as they currently sit in second place a point behind Milan but with a game to play, which they will need to win!

This game was played down as a title decider by both camps but we all know, this helps Juve stay up there with Milan, however the result of this game had more to do with luck than anything else and who could hold there nerve the longest, and that ended up be Milan with Arthur Vidal getting sent off in the 89th minute for a bad tackle on Mark Van Bommel. These two teams have always had a good relationship but all could turn very ugly pretty soon!

A true test of Juventus' pedigree will be how they handle the games from now on, and how they handle if and when they lose- will the react or collapse?
